SUMMARY:Mystical Songs
DESCRIPTION:Chorale is joined by renowned Opera Director and Singer Thomas Guthrie\, for a programme inspired by the uplifting and thought-provoking words of four Christian mystic poets; Hildegard of Bingen\, Sister Julian of Norwich\, Sir Thomas Browne and George Herbert. Our choral music will include pieces by Judith Weir\, John Joubert\, chant from Hildegard of Bingen and Ralph Vaughan Williams fabulous Five Mystical Songs\, in the version for strings and piano. We shall be accompanied by our own Leicestershire Camerata & David Cowen Piano.
